[Steve Pynakker](https://www.facebook.com/spynakker) is a content creator on YouTube, and has a channel called, [Mormon Book Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/@MormonBookReviews?ref=reliefmine.com). Although he is not a member of the LDS Church, he actually knows its history far better than most Latter Day Saints. He also has a great personality, which comes in handy for the many interviews that he does on his channel.

This particular interview Steve did was posted November 7, 2024, but I just recently had a chance to watch it all the way through. Kevin Kraut did a good job of answering questions about the general story of the Mine, what kind of man his father was, and the unique relationship Ogden Kraut had with Bishop Koyle. As a reminder, Ogden is the author of two books, Relief Mine I and Relief Mine II, both can be purchased from [OgdenKraut.com](http://www.ogdenkraut.com/?ref=reliefmine.com), which is maintained by Kevin.

Even if you are quite familiar with the story of [Bishop Koyle](https://www.reliefmine.com/bishop-john-koyle/) and the Mine, you may still find this interview worthy of your time.

(57 minutes)

Are there any important details that [Kevin Kraut](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN8nmma4-9BoIkUMeIkwsEg?ref=reliefmine.com) left out? If so, then let us know by leaving a comment below.

Remember, Bishop Koyle told believers that owning 100 shares would be sufficient to care for any man's family. But, if a man had more than 100, he would be in a better position to assist his fellow men during the times of financial trouble and famine.
